We built Ramayana Vamshavali to help people explore and understand the family tree of the Ramayana. Our application allows visitors to discover the lineage and blood relations of the characters in one of India’s greatest epics, the Ramayana, in an easy and accessible way.

Every person and every relation in the tree is checked against the Valmiki Ramayana, with the kanda it comes from. Names and kinships from later retellings are marked as later tradition. See sources and method.

Portraits you add in the tree stay in your own browser. They are never uploaded.
